So after the 21hr journey we finally arrived at our resort and ......its beautiful, I have never stayed in anywhere so exoitic! It amazed me that I finally heard silence! I hadnt realised the whole time in Bangkok I had never heard silence, it was certaintly a nice feeling.
Again I am sharing with a girl called India from the tour group, we get on well which is nice, we have a little bungalow with a hammock outside, its so nice. It reallz shocked me theamount of steep hills on the island, for some reason I thought it would be flatter.
Our first full day here, we went on a boat trip around the island, again much bigger than I expected and went to a place called bottle beach, which was amazing, i have never seen beached like it. We had a tour guide called Peter Pan and he went and picked some leaves from the forest for us to eat, apparantly monkeys love them, personally didnt rate the left a funny taste. Really like Koh Phangan, the beaches are so beautiful but as its full moon its starting to get reallz busy on the island, and the parties are mental. We went to a beach party which had a foam party on it, everyone is drinking buckets of alcohol, verz fun and now looking forward to full moon.
Yesterday we went to the national marine park which was about 2hr boat ride away. I had such an amazing day. Me and a girl called Kate went snorkelling and saw the most beautiful fish, we bumped into another snorkeller who gave us some bread and so I was feeding the fish out of my hand. Dad, you would have loved it. We then kayaked from the boat to the main part of the marine and went to look at the lagoons. Your not able to get into the water here but it was just stunning to see. Finally we rock climbed into some caves where we were surrounded bz monkeys, it was so surreal but so nice to see them so close in their natural habitat.
Today we have been elephant trekking, it was nice but at the same time I did feel really bad for them, I think its something I have checked off my things to do but dont think I would do it again. There was a really cute little Thai boy though who sang to us. I have found all the Thai people so friendly and food amazing. Then we came back to the resort and I had an aloe vera wrap in the spa, it so was so relaxing and hopefully will calm down all my bites. The spa is set on the beach and overlooks the sea, not that private though. he he, someone might get an eye full if going for a wonder on the beach.
Amz arrived today today but have not seen her yet. Its officially the last night of the tour so we are going out for dinner and drinks. Have no plans for the Friday or Saturday, and then its full moon, which will be crazy.
Will update you soon and get some pictures uploaded, i have taken so many, although mz video camera wasnt so waterproof and broke the first time I tried to use it, not impressed.
Love to all zou back at home, hope everything is well. missing you all

Bangkok...part 2
Hello!
Havent been able to get online recently as connection is really bad where I am staying on Koh Phangan! Hope you are all ok, ive got lots to tell......
Lat night in Bangkok was certainly one to remember, won't go inyo any detail but ended up going to a ping pong show with my tour group, i think the boys were more shocked than the girls!lol, well you have to say youve done it, but certaintly wont be going again lol.
So, last day in Bangkok we checked out of our rooms and walked to the grand palace, its absolutely beautiful! So much detail in everything there and it was much bigger than I expected. Unfortunately we went when there was a massive thunderstorms so rushed round abit quicker than would have liked and oculdnt take many pictures beacuse I didnt want to get my camera wet.
As we were leaving I got interviewed but some locals about my experience at Grand Palace, very funny as some of their questions made no sense! and then they all wanted pictures taken with me! Quite entertaining. Also saw the guard change over at the grand palace which was really good to see! We then got Tuk Tuk's back to Koh San Road, our driver was on an absolute mission! we nearly had about 3 accidents! but all good fun, im sure they drive quicker when westerners are in them!
Anyway, went then started our journey down to Koh Phangan. We were waiting at Bangkok train station and suddenly everyone stood up in silence, we then worked out they had been soluting the king! a very strange thing to see!
We then had an overnight train to Surat Thani, the beds were actually really comfy and I was so tired I slept for the majority of the 12 hr journey and watched some friends on my ipod (thanks em and mikey). Part of the boat ride there was a storm so we got absolutely drenched! But refreshing at the same time. In total it took 21hrs to get to the island but i was glad to be leaving Bangkok and hopefully looking forward to seeing some sun! :)

Bangkok....the start of the adventure!
Hello...
What can I say about Bangkok...interesting place, some of what I expected and other bits not. For instance so much smog although its really sunny you can't even see the sun! Very busy everywhere you go, but love all the hustle and bustle. I am staying just one road away from Kho San Road, so right in the middle of everything!.
First full day I was here I was very jet lagged as been having problems getting to sleep, probably doesnt help getting in at 5am! but had good times with my group, went to a club called Gazebo which is like a roof top bar, very chilled and has a thai band playing western music (ghost busters included lol). Decided to have a bit of a chill out day so went and had a fish foot pedicure, basically stick your feet in a pond and the fish eat your dead skin. Very weird feeling, feels like tiny electric shots. Then went and had a swedish oil massage with India the girl im sharing with. Well that was an experience.......looked so seedy lol but first bit was nice until they literally tried to bend me in half and push her knees into my back....soooo painful! and now my back hurts so much, apparantly the first always hurts??!! Again just went out for dinner and drinks with everyone, food is amazing and so cheap here. Although drinks still expensive i think. We all ended up sitting in the street with some ozzies drinking vodka, fun night...again 5am finish!
Today was more fun! we went on a river boat cruise around Bangkok...not what I expected at all. There were people washing in the water and their little huts where they live are built on the river. The water was absolutely filthy, but all of them look so content and so pleased to see you and wave. Some of the views were amazing! Then went to visit, WAT PHO nand WAT ARUN temple, both lovely! We climbed up WAT ARUN which was so steep it was ridiculous! but good views of Bangkok were really good. WAT PHO is the oldest and largest temple in Bangkok which has the reclining Buddha in it, OMG couldnt believe it. It's 45m long and 15m of 24 carary gold leaf Buddha! its one sight to see!...Then we got a tuk tuk back to the hostel, I swear our driver was on a mission to kill us! so many near deaths but very fun.
Last night in Bangkok so should be a good one, the group Im with are a really good bunch, and all like a drink :) so fit in well!
Tomorrow off to the Grand Palace and then getting the overnight train to Surat Thani so we can make out way to Koh Phangan. Am really looking forward to hitting the beach as so far my skin has hardly seen the sun!
Hope all is well back at home, love you all lots. Still dont think its sunk in that im here. Will try and upload photos soon so watch out.

Arrival day!
Hello,
I thought I would just do my first blog as I am now here in thailand!
Flight went smoothly, slept ok and the food wasn't too bad...although had very swollen ankles, luckily bought myself a new pair of flip flops at Heathrow lol.
Got to Bangkok and was bit confused about the whole visa situation but just followed everyone else and seemed all ok! Met Bek and the meeting point and then we met a random bloke called Andy in the queue for the taxi so he jumped in with us.
Just got to the hostel - Wild Orchid Villa - room seems nice and cool :) quite warm out here, a nice change to that snow! Just logged online to let you all know im here safe as I dont think my phone works out here. Going out at 8pm (its now 7pm here) for dinner and drinks with a few of the people on my tour, tour leader Bek and the random bloke Andy!
All going well so far, will be in Bangkok until 24th and then getting the overnight train to Koh Phangan.
Will update soon on my travels, hope your are all well!
Happy Birthday to Mikey and Katie, hope you both have a lovely day!
Love you long time all the way from Bangkok
